Training and Experience
I gained my BA and MA at Cambridge University before undertaking my Foundation at The New School of Counselling and Psychotherapy and then my Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling at Regent’s University London.
I have experience of working as both a mental health group facilitator and individual practitioner. I began my work as a psychotherapist at Waterloo Community Counselling, and now work in private practice.
My experience has taught me that we are all unique, and yet we all have the potential to grow and flourish as long as we are given the right conditions under which to do so. Both my academic learning and personal experience has confirmed that it is the therapeutic relationship that is the crucible for change. It is my role to help clients recognize and remove the obstacles that may be standing in the way of living the life they want to live.
Areas of Counselling I deal with include: perinatal mental health, anxiety, depression, work-related stress, low self-esteem, obsessive compulsive disorder, relationship problems, binge-eating disorder, anger management, bullying and panic attacks.
I am a registered member of the BACP and abide by their code of ethics.
